V-JETS AVIATION

VJA’s Proud Safety Certifications

A Perfect Safety Record Since Our Founding In 1981

In 2008, one of V-Jets Aviation aircraft operators was selected as a founding member of the Air Charter Safety Foundation. This group is charged by the FAA to develop and institute safety management systems (SMS) throughout the charter industry. One of V-Jets Aviation’s operators is only the second commercial aircraft operator in the U.S. to receive certification of its safety management system. Most recently, it earned the distinction of becoming the first company to achieve Level Four certification of its SMS program.

In addition to the ACSF certification, it has been on the Wyvern Consulting, LTD “recommended” list for over ten years and was only the second charter company to receive the coveted International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) certificate and is currently at Level III. Several Fortune 100 companies also conduct an annual audit of our operation to ensure that their executives only fly on aircraft that meet the highest levels of safety.

V-Jets Aviation’s aircraft operators are Platinum rated by the Aviation Research Group / U.S., Inc. (ARG/US). To maintain this rating, ARG/US certifies that our operations and safety management system meet the highest standard of safety in the charter industry.

some of V-Jets Aviation’s operators are also one of only 16 U.S. charter aircraft companies certified by the IAS/ACSF (American Charter Safety Foundation). The IAS/ACSF is the only audit that specifically evaluates compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 135 (and/or 91 Subpart K) regulations. Part 135 regulations govern the operation of on-demand air carriers and Part 91 Subpart K regulates fractional ownership programs. Other audits focus on either airlines (i.e. Part 121) or traditional private aircraft (i.e. Part 91) operations. The IAS requires an SMS to be in place and evaluates the SMS based upon published International Civil Aviation Organization and FAA standards. Audited companies are required to conduct a comprehensive internal self-audit prior to the arrival of the on-site audit team. You can read the complete list of IAS/ACSF operators here.
